Mr. Woodworth specializes in Southern California multi-family investment sales encompassing entitled or unentitled land as well as existing apartment investment assets.  He joined The Hoffman Company after a successful career on the principal side of real estate investment.  His many years in the industry have afforded Mr. Woodworth the opportunity to have formed relationships with many of Southern California’s most successful and active developers and investors.  Having worked with some of Southern California’s most prolific multi-family investors and developers over the past decade, Justin has touched all aspects of multi-family investment and development.

During his career, Justin has supported acquisition and directed development of over 2,000 units while Development Director and was the central figure in the underwriting and acquisition of thousands of multi-family and single family units while Senior Analyst and the underwriter for major investment management firms and their institutional partners such as Blackstone, LACERA, LACERS, and PGIM.  In 2020, one of Justin’s projects (Broadstone Arden) was honored with the Pillars of the Industry award for “Best Apartment Community (Under 5 stories)” by the National Association of Home Builders.

Professional History

Alliance Residential Company (2019 – 2020)

Alliance is the NMHC #1 multi-family developer for 2020 active in 33 metros across the U.S. While at Alliance, Justin was the developer for Park & Paseo, a three-project 1,221 unit $500B mixed-use community in partnership with Prudential Global Investment Management.

Western National Group (2015 – 2018)

WNG is a vertically-integrated multi-family development, construction, and property management firm with greater than 23,000 units under management and an average $700MM annual construction completions. While at WNG, Justin was Director of Development completing three multi-family projects in South Orange County from entitlements through lease-up. In addition, Justin played a significant role in new deal acquisitions and was instrumental in company acquisitions in Brea and San Jose.

Benedict Canyon Equities (2015)

Benedict Canyon Equities is a value-add multifamily investor and deal sponsor.  While at BCE, Justin was responsible for new deal underwriting, diligence, strategy, deal structure, acquisition, and finance.

CityView (2012 – 2015)

CityView is a pension fund investment fund manager who has generated more than $4 billion in urban investment across more than 100 projects. While at CityView, Justin was a senior acquisitions analyst, portfolio management underwriter, and project manager.  Justin was responsible for numerous roles within the firm encompassing underwriting, due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, fund reporting, and development management.

Experience prior to 2012 involved numerous roles spanning 10 years in real estate and finance including brokerage, lending, underwriting, construction, and acquisitions.
